Slow and Steady Weight Loss and I am Winning

Update on my two boys:

Baby Lex is going to be 4 months in two weeks and he is a cutie pie! He smiles all the time and his smiles are pure and beautiful just as all infant smiles are.

Rocket is still being amazing to Baby Lex, helping him by bringing him his baby toys and diapers. I love all the kisses and hugs Rocket gives Baby Lex.

Now for weight loss updates:

Since April 1st, I am down 16lbs. I am losing 1-2.5lbs each week and that is exactly the range I want to lose each week. My body fat percentage has dropped 6%, which is truly motivating. Also, I am out of all my maternity clothes because they are too big!

Preparing components of my meals before hand has been really instrumental for me to keep on top of eating nutrient dense salads and soups, and snacks.  For the past two weeks I have only made vegan desserts for the playgroup I am in so that I am not over eating them on my own.  This is a BIG help.

And now I am going to leave you with pictures of my two boys :)

  1. Thanks for commenting at my blog. Reading your posts has inspired me to keep trying of the few pounds I want to lose. I kinda want to lose about 15 pounds or so but just been struggling even on the vegan diet. I just like some motivation for the workouts. Commuting 4 hours a day to work isn't helping either but I feel I can still do it!

Thanks for posting your progress! :) Cute boys, btw!

    1. !! Thank you :-) I need to do a more recent update. We just moved into our new house after driving cross country. So the past two and half months I have been just settling in, but now I should be able to post again soon.

Commuting 4 hours a day is a fair chunk of time.gone, I once had to commute 90 minutes which I thought was bad but 4 hours is much more strenuous.

15-20 minutes of walking, yoga, or circuit training with body weight may be more manageable and realistic for you.

I make that suggestion of course not knowing anything about you so forgive any presumption on my part.

I myself often do two 20-30 minutes workouts a day, usually one is a walk/run or yoga and the other I lift weights. This is working for me. If sometimes I only do one workout or none for whatever reason I don't let it bother me because something is always better than nothing. And that goes for eating nutrient-dense plant foods and exercising.

Losing weight is a marathon not a sprint, I read that somewhere and I really liked it :-)

Good luck on losing those last stubborn pounds, I know you can do it!
